Geez people, we are not in collapse. Things aren’t great and need to change BUT you can still buy cheetos, bandaids, coca cola, hamburger helper, a good steak, milk, eggs, butter and bread…. People still have jobs, companies are still in operations, gas prices are leveling out, the sun is still shining ( at least it is here in Utah) and yes, there are banks that are operationally sound. Stop the panic and take some personal responsibilty to make your voice heard by educatiing yourself and be proactive…which by the way is the first of the 7 habits ( highly successful people) !
Now thats not to say, you shouldn’t get yourself out of debt, build your food stroage, scale down your spending and save some money. But we are the greatest country in the world. We are resilient, creative and innovative. The key here is we do need to stand up and get Government out of the way of our capital markets. I don’t belive buyouts work, I certainly don’t want anymore hands into the bank cookie jar. The government has no business “nationalizing” the banks by buying shares… just makes me crazy to think about how this is going down. But just like very American, I have to go to work every day, take care of my family, be respsonsible and accountable for what I do. Politicians please cut out the mumbo jumbo and just talk plain and straight with the people.
You know when you go to jail or prison, they have these classes called “cognitive re-structuring”. Where you learn all about your thinking areas. If you want to look good in front of your parole agent, you must complete these classes… guess what thinking errors lead you to commit crimes, DUH. And do you really think government is engaging in correct thinking ? NO… totally criminal. let me list some of them.
Minimizing responsibilty
Blaming others
Excuse making
Entitlement thinking
Grandiose thinking
I am number one thinking
etc……sound familiar ? It does to me. Don’t just write hateful blogs about the opposing party – write a rational, logical, educated response to what your leaders locally are doing and call them to action. If you are not willing to do that then you deserve what you get in this election….followers must be responsible too for the path they choose.
